In some of the past reunions, we have printed a book containing a bio of most classmates. This is too expensive and is outdated quick, so we are providing this page to create a digital classmates bio book. Please know... this information IS secure and NOT available on the website, but you are able to contact anyone 'via email', who has posted their bio.

So, please take a few minutes to update us with your comments and contact information, especially if you moved or changed your email address. Please add a current picture of yourself – it can be with your spouse, your dog, pet rock, what ever you prefer.
Your 'Then' photo will be added later by the site administrator.
Again please remember... no address or contact information is displayed on the website page, it is secure and only available for messages or announcements from the Reunion Committee.

Thanks and enjoy catching up on everyone.
The following pages by default are sorted by 'Last Name'. For better results, click on the down arrow to the right of the 'Sort By' and select 'Maiden Name'. It will be easier to find specific classmates.

If you have trouble accessing your previous bio, send a message through the "Contact Us" page and we can assist with your username and password.

5 years has passed since the last reunion which changed my life...I was on a mission to finally tell a classmate I had a crush on him from high school...but another stole my time with conversation and the rest is history... Kent Confeld and I married in October of 2004... I find myself feeling special all over again!...we have traveled from the South Pacific to Europe and still give time to volunteer and raise money for worthy organizations...and does that old heart throb know?... not sure!

I am a clinical social worker and divide my time between doing clinical work and advising social work students at Boston University. I live in Newton, Massachusetts with my husband, Marv, and have two daughters. I get back to Minneapolis every few years, but unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the reunion. I have fond memories of SLP and many of the people I knew.

Hi Everyone,
Sadly, I won't be able to attend the reunion. I have fond memories of my years at Park, especially geography class with Mr. Christensen. I have greatly enjoyed reading the bios of people. I have been living in the Boston area since the 70's. I keep busy working as a clinical social worker, dividing my time between private practice and work at an outpatient clinic.  My husband, Marv and I have 2 two daughters and four grandchildren. I enjoy spending  time with family along the New England Coast, as well as skiing, bicycling and all things cultural.

I’d like to say my failures at St Louis Park H.S. were due to teachers not giving me a chance…but that would be a lie. They gave me a chance. Probably more than they should have. They even allowed me to have my picture in the yearbook even though the only credits I earned beyond the 10th grade were in Phy. Ed. and a few shop classes. Misspelling my name in the yearbook may have been some kind of payback for my behavior. (I’m a Larsen with an “e” not an “o”)

Having been kicked out of most of my regular classes, my days were largely spent in study hall asleep at my desk. If I came to school at all, I arrived late and left early. One of my favorite early-outs was to walk into the main office with my pants unzipped and announce that my zipper was broken, and I needed to go home and change my pants. The secretaries handed me a pass, while carefully maintaining eye contact, never bothering to investigate the authenticity of my claim. Eventually I quit going to school altogether.

As I look back into life’s rearview mirror, replaying the images of my misspent youth, I see a kid trying to be cool, while squandering his future like devalued currency. A young ego maniac with an inferiority complex, hiding his vulnerabilities in a cloud of cigarette smoke and false bravado.

But somehow that future didn’t all turn out so bad. I must have had a guardian angel looking after me. A sixteen month tour in Vietnam as an Army paratrooper left me with only Agent Orange exposure and a great tan.

After the Army I took the GED test and went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota with, of all things, a teaching degree. Later a Master’s Degree and a career as a school administrator.  Throughout my career in education I tried to give all students a chance. Probably more than I should have.

Since retirement, my wife and I  travel every winter, rotation between Europe, Asia and Latin American. We've been back to Vietnam thirteen times. We also spend some of the summer at our farm in Northern Minnesota

After attending the U of M in the late 60's, I traveled Europe and Israel a couple of times. I settled down and started a long career (31 plus) years at Northwest Airlines. I started in the offices in accounting and tax divisions, then decided there was more to airline life than sitting at a desk pushing a pen. I transferred to the Minneapolis Airport Terminal as a Customer Service Agent. On occasion I would see former classmates flying out of the airport. I was able to retire at age 55, nearly 3 years ago and now I am finding a new life by playing. I tap dance, line dance, do volunteer work, and on occasion knit. I still travel both with my husband Ron and my old roommates from 35 years ago and former co-workers. Life is Great!! Hope to see former "Fern Hill" elementary schoolmates at the reunion. I have a funny story that would amuse students that attended the former "Park Hill" elementary school. Send Shelly a MessageSend Shelly a Message

It's the old question. If you could go back to your High School years, what would you change? What would you do differently?
NOT A DAMNED THING!
We were one of the last groups that didn't have to grow up too quickly, you know, College prep at age 6.
I feel like we had an amazing education----spectacular teachers, BUT, we had fun!

Iowa U.S.A. Married 2 2016-05-06 09:26:59

Jerry(Greenway '64) and I just celebrated our 35th anniversary.  All but one year has been in Iowa Falls, Iowa, a town of 6,000 located three hours south of the Cities.  We have enjoyed the sense of community in this town, and it was a wonderful place to raise our two children.

Jonathan is a chemistry teacher in the Quad Cities, is married and has a two year old daughter.

Amanda taught high school ceramics outside of Topeka, Kansas for four years and is currently in the MFA ceramics program at Kent State in Ohio.

I have been the department manager of the fabrics and crafts area in our local Wal-Mart for the last 17 years. Retirement is not in the near future.

Jerry and I have been renovating a Victorian house off and on for the last 34 years, and we are soon ready to help with the second Habitat for Humanity house in our county.

Just in the last month, the family house on 32nd and Jersey was sold and now we don't have our usual place to stay.

I will be at the reunion with Carol Rose Premack, a friend since Lenox days.

Life has been good.

I have been married to Kathy Solomon from Hopkins for 38 years, have two children and three grandchildren.  I did realize my dream from 5th grade of becoming a High School Band Director.  I taught for 7 years in both White Bear Lake and Wayzata.  I switched careers in 1978 and have been in Human Resources ever since.  I still direct a musical orginization, repair woodwind instruments with my own business, the Instrument Doctor and play saxophone professionally.

Judie and I have been married for 32 years and raised three children. I've practiced real estate law for 33 years and still enjoy this activity. All of this would not have been possible if my neighbor Richard Siegel had not tutored me through physics where I got stuck with six of the top ten in our class.

I have lived near Grand Rapids since 1975. I am married for 34 years and have two sons 27 and 30. My wife Nita (Hopkins 73) and I spend several weeks a year at our lake cabin on Dogtooth Lake near Kenora ,Ontario, Canada. We reside on a 47 acre tract of land  that has 300 feet of beautiful lakeshore on Shallow Lake, which my grandfather bought in 1910. Myparents Larry (92 years old) and Ruth (90 years old), my son Josh, and my brother Russ all own homes here and we like to call our family tract of land "Shangrilocken".
